retiring, Nick and his wife Jeanne moved from Michigan to
Scottsdale, where Nick began teaching and also serving as
treasurer for his church. He used his homeowners association
experience in Michigan to help his own Scottsdale HOA. Back in
Michigan, Nick served in the following capacities:.
Wayne County (Detroit): Board of
Auditors, FEMA Liaison Officer, and Community and Economic
City of Dearborn: Director for two
Community Development Commissions, and Assistant to the Major
for Intergovernmental Relations
City of Ferndale: Community Economic
City of East Lansing: Housing and State
Certified Building Official, Chief Code Enforcement Officer,
Liaison to five neighborhood associations and Michigan State
University Housing Office, and president of two homeowners
He has served Scottsdale on the City Housing Board and on the
Neighborhood Advisory Commission. He became concerned with
Scottsdale's lack of efforts to upgrade South Scottsdale, and
became an activist in this area.
As a citizen and as a COGS board member, Nick is concerned about
development at the cost of residential neighborhoods, including
the impact of increasing height, density, and traffic.
