PATRICIA BADENOCH

I grew up on a ranch in Waddell, Arizona—the most western part of this valley near the White Tank Mountains. Met my husband, Don at ASU.

In 1974 we settled in Scottsdale to raise our family where I still live 41 years later. As a full time mother, I was privileged to indulge in all the activities full time mothers get to do. So I became the homeroom mother, Girls Scout leader, softball coach, etc.

As they grew up I moved on to other interests. The following is a brief outline:

  • 1991 SUSD Parent Council Vice President. Served as legislative representative

  • 1992 graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class VI

  • 1993 Volunteer member of the Scottsdale Community Cultural Diversity Council

  • 1999 founding member of TOPS (The Other Plan for Scottsdale)

  • 2000 Downtown Task Force member, chaired the Streetscape Committee

  • 2000-2003 volunteer member of the Downtown Scottsdale Partnership

  • 2001-2007 Neighborhood Enhancement Commission (2 terms)

  • 2006 founding member of COGS (The Coalition of Greater Scottsdale)

  • 2010- 2015 founding board member of the Association to Preserve Downtown Scottsdale’s Quality of Life 2012 - vice president

  • 2014 COGS Political Committee

  • 2014-2017 COGS Board of Directors, Treasurer
