SONNIE KIRTLEY
Sonnie Kirtley
has lived in Scottsdale since 1967 and retired in 2005 after 30+ years as a Scottsdale Associate Broker,
where she was awarded the Scottsdale Realtor of the Year award in
2003. She also was awarded the Frances Young Scottsdale Heroes
(volunteer). She taught Oregon junior college Physics and in
Arizona ,Oceanography and Physical Geology and coached Science
Olympiad and Academic Decathlon teams for Saguaro High. Sonnie's
civic involvement includes Caballo Ranchos subdivision chair,
COGS, Downtown Scottsdale Ambassador, several city
council-appointed positions such as the General Plan, McDowell
Corridor Economic and Downtown Task Forces plus the Scottsdale
Pride Commission and Town Hall. She earned a BS and doctorate in
Science. She has traveled extensively around the world including
research teams from the warm waters of Belize to the icy waters 3
days north of Iceland.
