Scottsdale political rumors are always lots of fun. Here are some scenarios flying around the coffee houses and e mails today-Saturday 8 November.
Presumption: Mayor Jim Lane will resign as City of Scottsdale Mayor before January 2015 and will join his assistant, JP Twist who has been working for newly elected Governor Ducey.

Scenario One: The sitting council members will vote Virginia Korte as Mayor. This would give her two years of mayoral experience before running on her own in 2016.
Scenario Two: The sitting council members will appoint Dennis Robbins to fill the interim vacancy if he loses the current election to Kathy Littlefield.
Scenario Three: The sitting council members will not appoint Kathy Littlefield to the interim vacancy if she loses the current election to Dennis Robbins.
Scenario Four: The sitting council members will not include Kathy Littlefield (if she wins this election) to select the interim mayor or who fills the remaining two year vacant council seat. These decisions will be made before January 2015 and her official installation.

COGS hears that the wagers have begun as the tongues wag.

An election count update is expected this evening. We will inform you immediately.
