Good morning COGS E-Newsletter Reader: It was not expected to send you another newsletter within 12 hours but the following is an important meeting alert. Thanks for reading.

TONIGHT: Southern Scottsdale parents, grandparents and interested residents---If you are wondering what decisions will be made about our 50 plus year old grade schools in southern Scottsdale then please attend this meeting tonight, Feb 11th at 6 pm. Be in the Coronado High School Lecture Hall (parking on north side of campus) to get your questions answered about the future of the schools in your neighborhood. The administration has held informational meetings for the public during the past two weeks. Tonight is your last chance to be informed. Focus will be on the elementary school facilities and enrollment projections. A key question is HOW ACCURATE are the Scottsdale Unified School District numbers as they determine to consolidate some grade schools and to totally close and sell off others? Even if you have no children, the proximity of your home to schools affects the value of your property. Schools affected: Yavapai, Tonalea, Hohokam, and probably included in the discussion will be Navajo Grade School, Pima and Supai Middle Schools. Please attend.

SATURDAY: Add the 5th Avenue Art Festival to your Saturday events to enjoy. That would be 5th Avenue west of Scottsdale Road on the sidewalks and in the street.
