Thank you for reading the COGS E-Newsletter.
This can be a busy weekend. The public art piece, Soleri
Bridge, is located on the western side of Scottsdale Road just
south of Camelback Road and today is the day to walk the bridge as
it is a huge sundial. The shadow should follow the equinox line.
Then you might stroll the canal and enjoy Saturday in the shops
along 5th Avenue including Marshall Way.
EVENTS TO ENJOY THIS WEEKEND:

- Kids Day at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park on the SE
corner of Scottsdale Rd and Indian Bend Rd. Terrific
events for the family.
- 8:00 AM Arizona Touch of Class Miniature Horse Show Free
Two-days of Miniature Horses demonstrating they can keep
up with the big guys. Halter, driving, liberty, costume,
and trail classes. in WestWorld
- 9:00 AM Celebration of Fine Art visit www.celebrateart.com
Watch art as it's being created by more than 100 artists
set up in their working studios.
- 10:00 AM Catch "big air" at Wedge Skatepark
Competition in El Dorado Park southern end. Age groups
start at 10 and younger. Registration is $10 and space is
limited. Participants under 18 must have a parent present
at time of registration.
- Noon Experience music and culture of Arizona's original
residents at Native Trails: Free Memorable musical
performances and traditional dances take place from noon
to 1 p.m. most Thursdays and Saturdays in Civic Center on
the grassy amphitheater in front of the Performing Arts
building.
- Sunday the 22nd Event
- 1:05 PM World Champion San Francisco Giants vs. the Los
Angeles Angels in Scottsdale Stadium. Single-game tickets
can be purchased at the stadium box office.
SIGNATURE EVENT COMING IN APRIL. Get your tickets now or you
will lose out on fabulous food events.
The Scottsdale Culinary Festival will be April 7th to the 12th.

neighborhood and business. CITY COUNCIL APPOINTED TASK FORCE
updates will be provided in the Sunday newsletter. This includes
the Tourism Advisory Task Force and their strategic 5 year plan
for our city. The meeting last week attended by COGS took 4.5
hours of discussion....at least the chairs were quality soft.
