The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show continues through to this Sunday afternoon at WestWorld east of the 101 freeway and south of Bell Road. If you love watching these proud horses from all over the world in action and competing,  check out the schedule at this link   http://www.scottsdaleshow.com/shows-events/schedule-of-events.

ART WALK IS TONIGHT 7 pm to 9 pm:  Stroll Main Street west of Scottsdale Road....northward on Marshall Way and north of Indian School Road. The Downtown trolley is your free ride until 9:30 pm.  Hop on and off and enjoy all sections of our Art Gallery District with reduced walking.

DeRubeis Fine Art is proud to present master artist and creator of the wavy frame Steve Barton.  Steve will be painting live in this gallery Thursday 2/18 from 12-4 and again from 6-9 for art walk.  Friday and Saturday 2/19 and 2/20 from 12-4.  See the artist at work and enjoy speaking with him.

Interested in an update on the Scottsdale Unified School District?  The Interim Superintendent is the guest speaker TONIGHT at the 7 pm Community Council of Scottsdale meeting held in Room 8 of the Granite Reef Senior Center on the NW corner of McDowell Road and Granite Reef Road.

  • 8:00 AM to 1 pm Saturdays Farmers Market in Old Town located on the southwest corner of First Street and Brown Avenue

  • 10:00 AM to 5 pm Celebrate 60 years of Scottsdale spring training this March.  Single-game tickets can be purchased at the stadium box office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays  or by calling 1-877-473-4849.

  • 12:00 to 1:30 PM Native Trails This is a free outdoor festival celebrating the Native American cultures of the Southwest through song and dance. Sit on the lawn inside Civic Center near the Performing Arts building.

  • 1:00 to 4 PM Johnny Hotshot performs on Saturdays in Old Town near Brown and Main Street.  Whip, pistol and other western skills are shown—free

  • 1:00 to 4 pm Gary, the Singing Cowboy will be astride his trusty horse and strumming his guitar throughout Old Town

........................................SATURDAY IN GRAYHAWK PARK:

  • 5:00 PM Family Fun Night at Grayhawk Park Bring your blanket and enjoy some family time at Grayhawk Park. There will be outdoor activities such as potato sack races, and more.

MULTIPLE Community homeowners in the Preserve area will be meeting at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 16th at the Windgate Ranch Community Clubhouse. Current information on the proposed Desert Discovery Center will be the topic. The Chairman of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve Commission, invited city council members and community leaders from COGS and other citizen advocacy groups will be present. If you live in DC Ranch, Silverleaf, McDowell Mountain Ranch, or other nearby HOAs, please attend or send members of your HOA Board.
